Bang Bang Sauce is sweet, spicy and creamy dipping sauce.  It’s served in some restaurants, including Bonefish Grill, but it is super easy to make at home. I’d suggest this sauce is a “copycat” of the Bonefish Grill sauce but truth be told I’ve never tried it!  But if you have I’ll let you be the judge. This dipping sauce is a twist on my favourite spicy mayonnaise, with the addition of sweet chilli sauce.  It’s perfect served with shrimp, chicken, fries or my beloved bang bang cauliflower.

TIPS FOR MAKING THIS RECIPE

Use store bought or homemade mayonnaise – it all works. If you’re having trouble tracking down sweet chilli sauce check the Asian section of your local supermarket, or an asian grocer.  It’s a common ingredient in Thai cooking. Play around with the measurements.  The recipe as written is on the more mild side, so it’s great if you’re feeding some more spice adverse people (like kids!).  But if you love things hot and spicy you might want to up the amount of sriracha.  Just give it a taste test and add in more if you’d like. Feel free to double, triple etc the recipe. The amount as is will be perfect for 2 people to share with a meal. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for a few days.
